A moss-ball masterpiece.

What is it? Need to bring some more greenery in the office? Create your own pair of elegant hanging plants with your team in a kokedama making workshop. The word Kokedama translates from the Japanese words for moss ('Koke') and ball ('dama') - it is the art of freeing a plant from its container and planting it in a moss-covered soil ball.

How is it hosted? The session will be hosted by one of our botanical experts.

How long is it? The session will run for 60 minutes.

How much is it? £40pp + VAT plus additional workshop fees from groups under 20 guests - please see below.

Where can it be hosted? This can be hosted in your office or a venue of your choice. All the venue will need is space for each guest to sit and create. Our hosts will bring all the materials to you, parking space onsite or near is useful. Can be hosted in London or across the UK.

You will learn top tips from your hosts on how to look after your Kokedama.

During the workshop, you will make two kokedama using two different houseplants, usually Asparagus Fern and Indoor Ivy (these may differ subject to availability). 

Once they guided you through creating your kokedama, you will be given all the information you need to keep your new plants healthy . In general, a shady spot in indirect light is an ideal place to hang them. They only need watering around once a week, when the moss ball starts to feel lighter or looks paler in colour. To water, dunk your kokedama in water for 30 seconds or until it stops bubbling, then allow to drain on the sink side before hanging up again.
