What is it? This is an LGBTQ+ inclusion talk, with a smattering of queer history. This isn’t your typical talk - Sacha wants everyone to approach this is an impactful way without fear, making this talk an approachable way to learn and grow.

Why LGBTQ+ Inclusion Is Important.
As a queer historian, Sacha is passionate about inclusion, but knows that in some ways the term has become a bit of a training buzz word.
In this interactive session, Sacha will talk through the power and impact of queer inclusion, some of the nuances around language, and will invite you and your colleagues to think about their own experiences and approaches in the workplace.
Inclusion is really important in the workplace to create a supportive environment, and there are lots of ways that teams can help to support each other. It creates a safe space where everyone feels valued and heard, which encourages collaboration and respect.
This talk is not a do's and don'ts around correct pronoun usage kind of session, but a fun, human and meaningful deep dive into queer representation that anyone should be able to connect with.
Meet your host: Sacha.
Your host, Sacha is a freelance museum professional who has worked at local, national and international museums and galleries. He has produced events, managed educational programmes, developed consultation and built gallery interactive’s and interpretation. He has worked on 'queering' spaces from museums, palaces to graveyards and is one of the chairs for Museum Pride LDN (a group of heritage professionals who march for London Pride each year).
He also cochairs the Queering Museums network and is a yearly Fun Palace builder, working with heritage sites to provide space and opportunities for communities every October. Sacha has written and presented many times on the subject of museums, diversity and activism. It's something he is very passionate about and this passion you will certainly see in your workshop.
Sacha has written his first book Queer As Folklore which will be available from Summer 2024.
